It was and still is an honor to serve ... thank you. Today is filled with many emotions. I think of the people that gave their life so I could have the freedom I enjoy today. Thank you to all that served and thank you to the families that stood by their Service Men and Women.

Happy Veterans Day to all of our service men and women past and present.....Never forget the sacrafices that so many have made so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we have!

This seems fitting. It brings back lots of memories and this is why I collect military items...to honor those who died.

This doesn't just apply to the military so this is also aimed at you robbie as well so thank you for keeping the streets safe. Your job is just as dangerous as the military

All throughout late summer poppies grow in our garden, I do not really think about them much as I walk to the car and go about my day. As far back as I can recall they have always been there in the early fall, just growing there, doing their thing. Today of all days I walked out the front door, I looked at them and I remembered. Withered, touched by frost but, still there; still on guard. In a few more days they wont be, that is the nature of things - we will put away our poppies, take down our flags and go on with our typical lives.

Be it Remembrance Day or Veterans Day, I hope everyone remembered to take a moment to thank a Vet, to remember the sacrifices both and present. To anyone on Oasis who served or currently serves; Regular Force or Reservist - thank you for your service, the sacrifices you have made to protect the country you so proudly call home.
