If someone "thumbs ups" your post then you get a point, but if they "thumbs down" your post then you lose a point.

Basically a way of  limiting pointless posts and promoting insightful and helpful ones

We almost have as much control over the repetition system as you guy's. We cannot add points to ourselves, nor can we take those away.
Why did you think Kevo got so upset about his rep? He couldn't do anything about it. He couldn't reset it or add up to his points. The vote's are anonymous. You guy's control most of it.
