Servers affected: Minecraft 1.8 only

What's being done: Map backup and plugin updating. We are switching permissions plugins.

Details: Estimated MINIMAL down-time is 30 minutes. Expected downtime is 45 minutes. Maximum downtime is 60 minutes. The server will NOT be reset (map, inventories, chest contents, etc). We are upgrading our permissions plugin to better support the new UUIDs introduced in Minecraft 1.7 but now implemented with the 1.8 "name change".

This maintenance is mandatory and the server will be offline regardless. The staff have been testing the new permissions system for the past couple of weeks, but we expect to see residual permission issues after the switch. Players should not lose ranks but in case of an emergency we will roll back and restore to the latest server backup.
