New Turtle

My family is getting a new pet turtle. He is a Russian tortoise and his name is Alex. He is the size of the palm of a hand. He is only 4 and he can live up to 50 if he's treated well. He eats fruits and vegetables (besides bananas) and he gets stressed out extremely easy. If you have any experience with this certain breed of turtles or just with turtles in general please let me know. Thank you :D

I had a turtle once, I have no idea what breed he was.
I had him for about 5 years before he ran away.
We had him outside in an artificial pond with a fence around it. Apparently he dug under the fence and escaped.

Care taking is pretty simple, just feed them and clean their environment and you're good.

You should read Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, that should tell you all you need to know.

Just dont eat it alive, basically.

I have a turtle right nokw, but it's a painted turtle.
So I don't know I can help you too much.
I do know from other people if they find meat or the like they can be stubborn about veggies.
