How to install FTB!

Downloaded when does oasis ftb start?

In the process of setting it up now, and it will take a couple weeks.  Have to setup all the plugins and build a spawn and choose a map and find a location for spawn and yeah.

Played the pax challenge.....um yeah... What am I missing?

so it will be bukkit ftb smp?

Its PAX as in the gaming conference :P Paxination does not have his own map....yet :P haha but yeah, some of the developers and modders go to Pax East and play this challenge map at a booth or panel. If you are looking for more of a questing pack, try agrarian skies! Its a sky block with a cool quest book and stuff!

Wow.... Now I feel stupid for two reasons..... Thought it was a map/ test that Paxination set up and I can't figure it out. I drop to the chest and get the items, then go through the portal and collect lots of gold nuggets and zombie flesh.... Then the only place I can figure to go from there is down and when I do either by fall or using water, it respawns me. If all ftb maps are like this I'm rally gonna suck at it!

Haha no prob! and no, they arent :P this one is special and to be honest, no many people play it :) try direwolf20 or another pack and just play in a normal world :) TIP: when making your world, go to more options and switch the world gen from normal biomes to biomes o' plenty! You will be impressed :)

I've had some problems downloading Direwolf20 specifically. I've played FTB before, and using this launcher I can run older and classic FTB versions. However, whenever I try to launch DW20 I get nothing but crashes. Some of the errors include missing textures and unable to channel stuff properly. I've downloaded the latest version of Java and reinstalled FTB several times. It still says I am using a 32x version of Java...

Just a heads up, if you've migrated your MC account you need to use your EMAIL as your profile name, then use your password. Just like you do with vanilla.

Java has always been a problem with Direwolf20 since you have to have 64 bit. The only thing I can suggest, and I know you have probably already done this cause its common sense, is check your system to make sure it is a 64bit system of windows and not a 32, make sure its up to date, restart your computer, and if all else fails, uninstall and reinstall FTB with your now updated java. Hope this helps!

Adding a sidenote to this:

If you have just recently changed (reset by email because you forgot it) your mojang account password, it may not let you log into the account on the mojang site for up to 24 hours - despite being able to log into minecraft just fine with the information you just changed it to.

I changed my pass yesterday.  Couldn't log in on the mojang site to alter my skin until this afternoon, but was able to log into mc just fine immediately after I changed it. [shrugs]

Oh Mojang, you so smart and so silly at the same time :P

since alot of people will need optifine for good fps and alot of people will want optifine for better fps on ftb ill post links to help.
