The Good Old Days

We all have them. This is just really a boredom thread, but lets hear the stories of how you found and your memories of your first days here on Oasis and no I'm not leave just bored .

How you found Oasis: I was invited by a player named KN1GHT off of Flickr

First days:

Day 1(March 2nd): I was never really welcomed by any players but KN1GHT had welcomed me to his town to live next to fellow Flickr members, even though I was a "noob" and had questions people answered most of them. later that day I applied for member and was accepted, I figured at that point Oasis would most likely be the only server for me.

Day 2-3: I had help faststang build a skyscraper between my first day and my second, it was later griefed. I was to fall to blame and banned do to a misunderstanding, I was unbanned for all my neighbors sticking up for me.

Memories:
March 6th is a day that will always be remembered, it was the day the beloved 1.2 tree spawn burned down. I remember this because I was on and in tree spawn as it burned to the pixel ground.

Nova is an ex player of Oasis, but one of my favorite memories on Oasis is with him. I had been building a spleef/pvp arena and he had flown over to see how I was doing and as I built the walls he changed the walls from cobble to gold to diamond.

this a kinda a summery of my history, of course I've built building, arenas, and made friends, but these are my fondness memories here.

I will forever remember the time when I got Kevo's joke when I logged into Oasis for the very first time. However, I will never remember what the joke actually was. Go figure.

I do remember fastang, whitetiger, and mefabe living in Greenville on Sunset Avenue back on 1.3 (squid spawn). In my opinions, it was one of the best towns ever, next to the original Spectra from 1.6.
And Nova! Amazing player. He left around 1.6, which was my favorite map (biome dome spawn). This was the map that I was promoted to Artisan.

Good times.

And here we are at 1.1.

I joined in early June or late May I believe (I know in the last 2-3 weeks of biome.) Well, I was never welcomed or anything sadly, knew of no /rules or stonekit, I didn't even know how to open chat. At the time I joined, two other lords were playing, lordroba and some other dude. Ahhh, biome spawn, my first map, was a loner at the time living in a single house with no builds and almost used flint or lava but first asked, I assumed I could because my neighboring house in the middle of nowhere nowhere had a lava moat. Luckily when I asked many people said, no! I was just learning the basics of servers on minecraft as one of my neighbors put up signs in front of my house giving me helpful tips on server etiquette. My first I quit after month (new spawn like every 2 or less weeks) went down the drain for me when it became a building server , I met one good person there but the staff was unhelpful. Then I joined here and at the time was on a page towards 10 on a server list, I liked the name and joined. It was a great decision. I never really talked to anyone and no one talked to me. I started to become more active and started to kinda know people. I got member after about 3 months (and not inactive ones) :D see I told you nobody knew me. I got trusted in another 2 months (less active times). I've been trusted for the last two months almost 3. And that's my story of my time on this server, no special builds or anything, just one casino that finished on the day of a new map after 1.8 :(

Well, my first day was long before march, i'm not giving any exact dates because i dont know them....

I was strolling through the minecraft.dk server list and found a few servers, but of course I got banned from them because I griefed them because my friend convinced me to help him (But now i'm not as stupid)

Then he found a server that he liked, and I couldn't get on it because we were using the same IP so it was REALLY lagy if both of us were on. Then i kept searching for servers and i found Oasis. I decided to log on and There it was, a glass square surrounded by squids in water, an ocean on the right, land on the left. I'll admit it... I didn't read the /rules .. I didn't know much about /anything because I was used to singleplayer in alpha. But i got lonley in singleplayer and fond of multiplayer.

So, the first day was acctually special. I decided to walk out of spawn. I remember my first sentence was "Hello, i'm new to this server" and many people were like "Oh no der" and "Are you sure candy-ass?" Yah, you get the idea. I remember wesley was the only staff there most of the time. Then I kinda got mad about the "No der's" and the "candy-ass's" so I decided to go take this wood from a large 8x4 or so stump.. The minute i tried, cloneman came up to me and told me not to greif it.. (I didn't even now what griefing was!! ) Then i replaced the wood and he gave me some iron tools. I remember i made a house with bmxfloris and it was my first real house on SMP. We had some stumps and bumbs along the way (Got murdered, griefed, robbed, the usual.) But then we decided to build a new one. We never did build that new house, but I remember seeing the old wooden house that we made, all griefed up.. looked like a robbed bank... It was taken by some other people too....

I remember madscientist helped me make my member application too, so thumbs up to him too =D

So this was my first through third day on Oasis. I wanted to quit the first day, but something told me i may have not found any other server like this one.

Thanks to all the people that have worked with me and helped me on this server. I want to give a special thanks to cloneman for acctually saying "hi" and bmxfloris for guiding me through my first days.

Now here we are a year later.. some people say that time flies back fast. I say that time goes at it's own perfect pace



BTW I AM NOT LEAVING JUST GIVING A RANDOM POST.. Lol

Akwurd moment when im a noob.....

I remember my first month.. kinda.. The only real bad memory I have is of cloudkesh murdering me because I was 'griefing' spawn-protected blocks -.-. He then never gave any items back, which put me off A LOT! However, the good times outweigh the bad ones. Like having my brother teach me things, having shawtykillz take me in and help me get started, etc.

Oh my you guys are gonna laugh my head off, but my first day was in September of 2011 (not sure what date)

And i didnt even have an account, it was my bros (Crazy_Darkness), that he he had let me play on. :P

I was invited by two members from my flickr, MHReynolds and Taccypoo.

I was a noob so i thought what the heck, i would swing by and check it out, so i did...... Holy Crap! I was just amazed by the spawn and all the stuff around it :D

And then you know i was kinda like ok, so i walked until i could build, and well i found a little house made of wood.. and well i needed a boat so i kinda knocked it down. And not knowing anyone was home, he shows up and is screaming "Griefer! Greifer!" and i was like "what?", so then Owners_Thugz showed up (OMG Ronald McDonald.. no offense man you are awesome! :P) and so i bail off running, and he is yelling "get back here or i will ban you!"

So he made me come back and put the whole thing back together :P and then i was on my way, me and my bro started a sand castle as far away from people as possible for safety reason :P and that was my begining story until December when i got my account, then it was the beginning of AMADGUNSLINGER!!!! >:D

Well thats about it :P

And now look at this, i am so happy to know all you great people :3 ( and i aint just saying that :3 )

My bad memory can't work very good, but from i what i remember in the start i just entered, some people said hello and welcome, but then i went on my own, and started building Jacobstown, went to member, and after 6 hours of member i got trusted.-Can't remember the rest- Then came some new maps and i really got into the community thing... Then Nova left. Cloud got banned, bamby was banned, and alot of other things happened.
