Oasis Minecraft PE server?

I am suggesting that we make a Oasis MCPE server...

Those who agree with me please post in my topic...

The idea of having a portable edition minecraft server for oasis sounds like a good idea, but there are some factors that we need to address.

You would need $$ to buy a dedicated server for the running of the server and additional $$ for monthly server fees.

We would also need players to fill the need of moderators to ensure that the new server runs smoothly.

Finally there is a smaller mass of PE players compared to the followers in the computer version.
The current oasis server is self sustaining server with the donations it receives from players. It would take a while before the oasis PE server to reach self sustainability from player donations if it even does at all.

There is a lot of startup costs for a server that may or may not succeed and having a PE server just for kicks is not a good long/short term plan.

In closing its a great idea you have, but startup costs will most likely be more than the benefits.

Oasis already runs 2 playing servers and some test servers. We have Oasis SMP and Oasis Pixelmon. The expense of opening a new server is not worth the small number of players it would attract. Oasis is a total donation server and all the staff volunteer their time to this great place. I doubt the staff and I would be willing to ever spread ourselves out farther than we already are.

I don't think I even have a device that will run PE (iOS or android)... unless it's possible from a computer too :\
and then I'd need to buy PE mc...

I like the idea of this however.
 
The cost is way to high. We already have 3 active servers: SMP, pixlemon, and Teamspeak. each server cost i think around $100-$200 monthly and if u add it up thats a lot of $.

there is not enough PE players these days. there is over 3X more PC players then PE. besides if you want to get on oasis by a mobil device just use minechat. 

lack of staff. we would have to get staff for the PE server (which i doubt we will ever get a PE server) and the current staff would be on SMP a lot less. they would have to spread out among the 4 servers leaving less staff on all the servers at once

more people prefer PC over PE. there is almost nothing to do or build on PE due to very minimal blocks. PC has everything even more the the x-box version and PE combined.

I don't wanna sound like a douche or anything, but, you will spend around $100 for 1/3 the people on here to play with 1/2 the blocks we have now, I don't think that you should waste your money on that, you should donate if you have that much.

Servers are a monthly cost... buying it once and then giving it to mad means we'd have to keep paying for it. Don't go buying a server for oasis unless you've confirmed with our owners first...
