I am mostly upset that my efforts in the PvP world are going to be undone because of the recent security failures.  Staff allowed certain non-staff players to have access to creative mode in PVP, which is completely irresponsible.  Then there is this security thing today... I don't even want to hear the watered-down version of the truth about this latest incident just like I don't want to hear another watered-down story about Ke-who-must-not-be-named.

I just want to see the Oasis-SMP server properly secured, fair, and fun!

The creative in pvp, thats a first. but i don't think staff are handing it out. from what i observed people go into build off, acquire creative mode, then go into pvp and spawn things. Its merely a mistake and i believe that oasis is safe enough. from my opinion, they just have some "moments" i shall say.

The whole 'players in pvp have creative' is NOT a staff thing. We do NOT give out creative in PVP world. Players join b uildoff, get creative via the default group, and then warp to PVPworld and Bam they have creative. it's a bug.

We have shut down PVP until the issue is fixed.

Do not worry about the security thing. Read my response here.

Seriously? This is borderline disrespectful to staff. I suggest you check that attitude at the door!

@Mad, Thanks for always being on top of things.  It's good to know that staff wasn't handing out creative mode, although that was the (confusing) impression I got from the in-game chat.

@David, I meant no insult or disrespect to staff.  I'm only saying that I don't want the full version or even the partial version of whatever happened; it leads to confusion in the best of circumstances.  At worst, it provides non-public information to miscreants.  My concern as a player is that the server is secured.  I don't want to worry about losing all of my progress at the whim of some rogue player.

With regards to 'that player', I apologize for bringing it up in a joking manner. Rehashing the past only detracted from the point I was trying to make.
