"Banned Lottery"

I have an idea, whenever a player gets perm-banned, the staff member who banned the player takes all of the banned player's money and puts it into a pool. Then at the end of each week or month there is a lottery where the players have to buy tickets for a chance to win the lottery.

I like it.

Mmm... Sounds very interesting. It would only be with the players who are banned with no appeal otherwise then can appeal and come back. (Perm bans can sometimes be appealed and somethimes not).

I think this will either get very good or very bad feedback haha. Im not entirely sure but for now I'm sticking with :

 The only other error I could see is an unbalanced economy. We have the right amount of money for the right amount of players on the server, if someone is banned, thats one less player so there should be less money. Not sure really :P

But what if he got the money by selling spawned stuff or griefed stuff? Or would that be okay for staff?

 Mmm, would definitely depend on what crimes they had committed, especially if this was one of them...I think there are gonna be a few flaws with this idea, it might still work though :3

 Maybe only the money they've earned that is above the 1000 they start with. But that doesn't answer ExtraSauce.

It isn't a TERRIBLE idea, but you have to remember this:

Players start with like $1,000 coins (I think). And A LOT of players are banned every week. So... we couldn't do one draw for every player. We'd have to maybe do two or three: the balance of all banned players split into the amount of draws.

It's a good idea, but there would have to be a few things to work out.

A few players have done their own lottery things in the past, I think, and it's turned out alright.
