Which laptop?

Post by artismarti on 7/1/2013, 7:13 am

I have a problem, I'm going to buy a new gaming laptop but can't find the right laptop.
I wonder if anyone of you have any suggestions of which laptop is the best, I've asked on the server, but never got a real answer.

Could anyone please help me out, I need to decide before this week.

-Thank you
Iver

It all depends on what you are looking for. What's your price range? Do you have a brand preference? Will you order it online or will you purchase it at a store?

Meanwhile, a quick Newegg search gave me these 5 laptops:

ASUS A55VD-NS51

Dell Inspiron (i15RV-7381BLK)

Lenovo G780 Metal

Lenovo IdeaPad S405

Lenovo IdeaPad S405 (slightly more powerful than ^^^^ that one

Keep in mind that the more features you want in a laptop, especially a gaming laptop, the more expensive it will be. I personally recommend brands such as ASUS and LENOVO as they both [IMHO] have outstanding quality and can last a very long time.

Alright mad; $500, store bought, all around good laptop. Preference of Dell, but flexible. Needs to last ~six years or longer. Your suggestion?

Lenovo. Probably an Ideapad, as the Thinkpad lines are more business-oriented and more expensive. Ideapads are more for consumer use and can be beat up and last a very long time.

Ok, I've looked up ASUS and LENVO, but they both got windows 8, and it will cost like 2000 norwegian money to get it in to norway, plus what the laptop costs.
Is alienware good? someone say it is, and some say it isn't.

For 2000$ you can have one of the best gaming desktops in the market...

Really? It costs 2000 Norwegian money? They're called Kroners, and 2000 of them are only worth $331.40, which means you would be lucky to get an old pile of crap, much less a decent computer.

I do, and you can't have very long gaming sessions because of overheating, and it's bad to carry it everywhere, and you can't use it in your lap because it'll just burn right through you, so you have to carry it in a table, and if you really are going to spend 2000 in a gaming computer just get a desktop already
