No making a way for guests to leave city (to save from 100 villages around us causing lag)
No Unauthorized Building (cynder's permission)
All buildings MUST BE AT LEAST 2 STORIES (unless given authority)
No members the city is open to trusteds and higher rank only
No Special sized plots unless you have money to back up why you deserve this plot.
All Citizens MUST BE ACTIVE (players within 5 days inactivity can be evicted without refund)

Designing
Rebuilding or creating your home is Encouraged, please create non-flashy homes.
There is only one rule upon design. NO REDSTONE CONTRAPTIONS
(lag spike generators will be reported as grief)

forgot when maintanence is over the warp is /warp city

those seem to be some pretty legit rules

they are decent rules. not too much its basically saying be respectful, and two stories minimum :D

Look at how many times Trusted City has been griefed, and how many times staff fixed it. Now look at Columbia, and tell me, how many times staff fixed that. Now look at both of them: How many are griefed right now? And how much does it cost for each one?

Edit: Don't mean to bash Trusted City, I live there personally, but I honestly don't think you can compete with cheap like Night has done it.

my other town is for noobs and way over priced but they don't know that *maniacal laugh*

I too live there. Its a nice start-up city. Its got a decent skeleton and plots are already selling. However, I was merely expressing my opinion on the fact that you are asking for about 50 coins (Which is not bad at all) to own a 6x6 plot while I've seen towns offer a 20x20 plot for free or maybe between 25-50 coins. Be careful what you price things at. It is a good way to earn money though.

I love trusted city... it has tons of lava, and statues, and shiny things... and ebay is close by *-*....

5 days? NO refund? That isn't what you told me when I removed those lockette signs from the plots. You told me the ones I removed were getting refunded. If you're not refunding them, I will. I will logblock those signs and find their names.


You do realize everyone (except for me, I'm on 10hours+ a day) has a life right?
...And that it's summer, and people are on vacation possibly 5+ days.

It's your town, you can do whatever, but in my opinion that's way too strict... 
Especially for a trusted only town, that's never griefed. Towns like Columbia and the old Flaketown from last map might get griefed a lot, but do they look ugly? No... and niether of them even charged anything.... 50$ isn't much, but it's kinda crappy when something unexpected takes you offline for 5+ days and you can't have your house...

Also, the "non-flashy house" thing? There is a giant tower made soley of emerald blocks, and one made of all different kinds of ore blocks and what not... what exactly do you define as flashy

That not only was free but didn't have plots so therefore it was a 'settlement' I prefer those way over plots, then people can have their own farms and mining stations like another example - cantown.

Never said it wasn't a great town, or that it had to be perfect. 
The point was that 5 days (in my opinion) is way to strict.. especially if what kept them offline was uncontrollable :\
But you can do what you want. I'm glad those people I moved are being refunded at least .3.

Also, click the little tool bar button on the bottom right that says "Switch Editor Mode" and it'l bring up the old format we used before this fancy upgrade thing. Then just type after the quote to use the default color *-*

all of em but pandaz was refunded this was a new rule and I like to be fair so I added this rule AFTER refund and also I will add any uncontrollable details to inactivity will be recorded and will lead to not being evicted I forgot about some problems about the inactivity thing.

That still means you could be evicting someone who can't get on, coming back to find out they lost a house, and maybe even the plot it was on sold again. 5 days is really short to wait.

You could end up someone who's been stuck in a hospital for days with nothing to come back to. Yeah, any eviction runs that risk, but 5 days? It's just plain rude.

On topic: 5 days.... 

suggestions/possibilities (don't have to do any):

-maybe have a 10day grace period after the five days are up to at least be able to claim another plot (if the same one isn't open) in the town for free.. or at least a discount.

-Up it to at least 7 days. Then they have a full week... some people can't log on on school days (summer school?) or work one or two+ jobs during the week now.. with 7 days, they could maybe at least log on during the weekend

-Up it to 10 days. Which is the server rule, so no one can really complain.

-Lower the plot price. Justifies the strict rules a bit more? *shrugs*

-Up the plot price to 75 and up the eviction time to 3 weeks.

I just find it bothersome that /warp city is 50% MY town and nobody has mentioned anything about me and yes we will have a discussion about the rules some of the suggested ones sound great.

So if I add a roller coaster and statues to Columbia, does that mean I win the war for "Fun Town?"
