Lag fixing options:

Turn your render down.
Turn your graphics to fast.
Turn off smooth lighting.
Turn off clouds.
Install optifine.

As a person with an older computer, I will tell you this much: no matter what you do to boost your fps, your computer will still be processing the information sent by Oasis - in addition to whatever you are doing. So if you can't find a way to boost your single player FPS into the 30-40 range, then you will never get good FPS on Oasis.

If you have reasonable computer skills, you might find some of these websites useful:

i8? You are kidding me, right? They don't make an i8 cpu. The highest you can get is i7. Besides, if your computer is a desktop, you could simply purchase a better graphics card instead of a whole new machine. If you have a laptop, well, just use 'optifine' and it should help bump up your framerate (aka FPS).

BTW dont use game booster, believe me, it doesn't do much (You get like 1-2 FPS Increase) and it might stop important processes, so, you'd do better without it, use Optifine tho, you'll gain considerable FPS and Stuttering/Freezing problems will be fixed.

I'm having FPS problems, I installed opftifine but it's still pretty low, When you play minecraft close every program, I use another thing go to task manager than go to processes than there should be javaw.exe than right click that than do set priority to high.

When used correctly, gamebooster frees up significant resources, allowing an older machine to stably run minecraft with more allocated memory and a higher CPU priority. Computers with 4 gigs (or more) of RAM, a dedicated graphics card, and a multi-core CPU don't need gamebooster to run minecraft.

Unless your texture pack is hi-res, it will not affect your fps if you change it.
