< My mind thinks about everything and how it'd be efficient, which is good, but people think I just want what is best for me, which is so frustrating I cannot explain in words how it feels.

^ Yes, and from my experience you have two options. 1: Just let them think what they think, and just try to not get frustrated over it or 2: Become well versed in the art of making people see it your way. For example, I have to do a lot of group projects in architecture studio. So we get 4 people together, all with different designs, all thinking that their's is the best. So, people will start to accuse you of only wanting your project to get chosen and you don't know everything and blah blah, but really, your project is the best out of them. So, you basically have to just make your points clear and sell them on that your is the best on. And once you get good at it, they will even think they somehow contributed to the design and make them feel like its their's too :P This may sound super manipulative, but it just something you may have to learn to work with certain people.

< Wow that was a long talk :P sorry! I just have to deal with people doing stuff inefficiently and wrong a lot and you just need to learn how to manage them :P
